At nine-years-old, troubled by his mother's death and his dad's continuous
confrontations with his aunt, Kip sets another boy on fire. And he's not really sure whether he did it on purpose or by accident. Now, five years later, he is being released back into society, but what if someone finds out what a monster he is? And someone is bound to find out.
Mrs. R's opinion: "A spooky concept--not knowing if someone accidentally or purposefully set another on fire. I really enjoyed this book. I sympathized and yet feared Kip and felt very invested in his situation. Plus the book is set in Indiana! Giles does not disappoint with this book."
